LAptop screen problem?
hi i have problem with my acer aspire 1680 laptop screen. i changed the screen but it went black. I can see the desktop and icons on it but screen is very dull and dark.it is difficult to read anything on it. But i attached my laptop with monitor. it is working fine there.i can see every thing fine. is there any solution please tell me.Thanks
I tried to adjust the brightness but did not work for me. and about back light it is new screen i bought so i dont think that it is back light please guide me. thanks
That’s a classic backlight failure. If you’ve just changed the screen, then it is almost certainly the inverter. (This is the board that sits below your screen that provides the power to the backlight in the LCD panel)
First of all – a warning. These boards throw out ~1000v, so make sure you remove the battery/ac adapter before playing with this.
Check the inverter connections – at both ends. Make sure that they’re both plugged in properly.
If this doesn’t work, then you’ll need to get hold of a new inverter. Find the part number on yours, and then find one with EXACTLY the same part number. If you don’t get the right one you could end up damaging the mainboard.
Ebay is a good source for inverters.
