Rebooting computer/laptop?

How do i Reboot my wifes Laptop Computer without disks, Return it to factory settings? its a Vista operating system on an acer apire5720 i have done it on a few different HP pavillions by pushing one of the F# buttons when the computer first powers on. I have tried them all but none have worked, and it took me a few times on the other computers.

Also when i go into “system restore” it only has dates in the past week and a half, i need factory and there is no option for that

Thanks
By rebooting i meen restoring, hence why i went to the restore option……

F2 usually works for me. I’m pretty sure that’s what my old Acer used. Try all of the F keys. It’d honestly be easier if you could just find the discs. But there might be some way to do it. If you can’t do it buy a copy of Windows Vista and install it clean. It should be basically the same as when it came from the factory. All you’ll have to do is look up drivers. Write them down beforehand if you do that, though.
