Acer Aspire One vs. Traditional Laptop?
I was wondering if the Acer Aspire One would be worth the money. I do a lot of traveling with my laptop. The one I have now, however, is beginning to become a bit outdated and I’ve been having a few problems with it. One thing I really dislike about mine is how big and bulky it is. Recently, I’ve come across the Acer Aspire One. I really like the idea of a smaller laptop like this. I looked through the specifications and to me, it seems like it would be fine. I’ll only be using it for internet, email, and occasionally typing up a report or assignment. I also think I like the Windows XP operating system better after all I’ve heard about Vista. My main questions are: How good is the new ‘Intel Atom’ processor? and, Will I be regretting my purchase? Thanks
the Acer Aspire One is a very good laptop. i have one for school along with my custom gaming desktop. the atom processor is suprisingly responsive and it has great batterlife. the one thing that i really love about it is that it has E-gprs or Edge. this is the technology that most cell phones use for internet, so if you have a data plan on your phone then you could have internet on the laptop wherever you go.
the only thing is the mousepad overheats sometimes
