Linux Survives Hacking Contest Verizon Dials in Linux as Primary OS for Mobile Phones

In September 2008, around 9,000 computers within the Swiss Educational system will have abandoned Windows in favor of Linux. It is happening in Geneva, and has been put in motion by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Some advantages that were noted.

  • Students can work at home with same programs used at school
